REPLY TO CLASSMATE’S POST
In today’s economic environment, which of the five steps in the strategic planning process do you think is the most important? Give an example of an industry where this would be the most important step. Do you think that a different industry might place more emphasis on another step in the strategic planning process? Why?
PLEASE EXPLAIN WHETHER YOU AGREE WITH MY CLASSMATE RESPONSE TO THE ABOVE QUESTION AND WHY? (A MININUM OF 125 WORDS)
In my line of work and especially within my organization, I think that clarifying your vision, also known as goal-setting is going to be very important piece in completing the mission. I believe that by identifying the specific objectives you are going to properly be able to analyze and plan everything needed to accomplish those goals. I think it’s a process and once you have identified your goals and gave all the members of the team their roles in reaching these goals is when the strategizing begins, and it is going to take a collective team effort to reach the goals that have been set forth. Nothing can be accomplished or completed without first having a set goal of what you are trying to reach. This is ultimately going to be the initial phase in the planning process of trying to reach the goals that have been set forth which is why I feel that it is most important in the strategic planning process.
